Have got
Il verbo Have in inglese ha uno spettro piuttosto ampio di significati ed usi (basti pensare a have dinner/have a say/have a seat…). Ne abbiamo parlato qui Tra le altre cose, HAVE indica il possesso.
Se uso HAVE GOT sicuramente mi sto riferendo a quelche cosa che HO…posso avere oggetti (I HAVE GOT A PEN), ma posso anche avere delle determinate”cose” che sono le mie caratteristiche fisiche. Ad esempio, I HAVE GOT BLUE EYES!!
Questo è il motivo per cui HAVE GOT si usa nelle descrizioni!

l verbo have got si utilizza con:
- caratteristiche fisiche, come occhi, capelli (he has got blue eyes, he has got long hair)
- nelle descrizioni , includendo anche il vestiario (He has got a red coat: ha un cappotto rosso)
- per indicare il possesso di oggetti he has got a big car
- per indicare caratteristiche psicologiche: he has got a kind heart, he has got a bad temper
- per parlare della famiglia: I have got a brother, he has got 2 children
