Come si forma there is / there are

L’uso di there is o there are dipende dal sostantivo che li segue direttamente.

• THERE IS + sostentivo al singolare (ad esempio There is a book)
• THERE ARE + sostantivo al plurale (ad esempio There are books)

Forma contratta di there is

Spesso la forma affermativa di there is si trova con il verbo contratto
